The unforgettable Susan L. Schulman was our guest back in 2013. This ace publicist and wonderful human being was on our show to promote her book, "Backstage Pass to Broadway: True Tales from a Theatre Press Agent. Tragically she died on October 21, 2022 from complications related to Legionnaires' disease. This is a terrible loss, and we will always miss her.

    Kazan named names because communists were pushing people around and he was tired of it. They controlled Broadway and Hollywood. Communists are the ones who started black listing. My parents knew an actor it happened to.

    I saw the show in her second performance. It was a rush-ticket and I was placed in the very first row of the theater. Fascinating experience to see her acting “in close” on stage. RIP Great Lady 🌟🙏♥️

    Wonderful interview! Thanks for uploading! Lots of talent here! John Lahr (a very successful author, biographer & critic) certainly looks a lot like his late dad, iconic comedic actor Bert Lahr. And Ms. Ashley is a truly powerful actress.

    I'd have liked to have heard more about Mary Rodgers' career and fewer well-known anecdotes about her father (of whom I am a huge fan, however). I thought it was remarkable that when asked about her father's songwriting process, she recited almost word for word what he used to say himself.

    Eight shows a week sounds insanely unfair to performers. It just sounds - mean. Why should such talented humans be burdened with such a horrific work load? Shouldn’t the most gifted of us work less? Why’s it the opposite for Broadway performers? I mean I know why: greedy landlords who knocked down all but a handful of theaters. But I think, as an audience member, it needs to stop.

    The person he called In New York was Barbara Walters, the were so Close at the time, She helped compossed the Nixon that she knows well. The y were Close until the end of Barbara social life. I think they were involved.

    Mr. Cullum is a very gifted actor/singer. He maintains his composure and Always plays his parts to perfection. Enormous range, he can play everything from Shakespeare to a convenience store manager to a rough and tumble, but mellowed, mountain man.
